Stephen Strasburg’s Looking For...
Here’s an interview with Washington Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasburg that was on CSN Washington. He sounds focused and upbeat for things to begin. I think this will be the best team we’ve had here in D.C. since baseball came back as long as the team stays healthy.

Statement from Mike Rizzo:
“The news from Venezuela tonight is reassuring. Though details are limited and we have not yet talked directly with Wilson, we are thrilled with reports that he has been rescued and is being safely returned to his family. We greatly appreciate all the prayers and thoughts of all who have joined us in wishing [...]
Wilson Ramos Rescued And Unharmed
Wilson Ramos getting rescued from the men who had abducted him is a real miracle and the best possible outcome to a nightmare ordeal for the Ramos family.
The Venezuelan authorities did a great job in pulling off this rescue mission. Plus they were able to arrest some of his kidnappers as well after a brief, but scary gun battle.
Ramos said [...]
Nationals Player Wilson Ramos Getting...
I couldn’t believe that Washington Nationals player Wilson Ramos was abducted from his home in Venezuela. The news stunned me and I’m hoping that he will be returned unharmed.
I’m glad to hear that police are confirming that Ramos is still alive and they have recovered the vehicle the gunmen used. The Washington Nationals a [...]
Washington Nationals Have Begun Execu...
The Washington Nationals wasted no time in announcing that interim manager Davey Johnson will stick around and manage the club in 2012. Naming Johnson the full time manager is no big surprise and has been expected since he took over last season after Jim Riggleman quit over his contract situation.
I’m glad the Nationals are bringing Da [...]
Brad Peacock Makes A Statement In His...
Brad Peacock made his first MLB start for the Washington Nationals a memorable one last night against the New York Mets. Peacock went five shutout innings and allowed the Mets only two hits to get his first career win.
Things got a little interesting in the ninth inning, but young closer Drew Storen was able to close out the Mets for [...]

Chris Marrero Called Up By The Washin...
I’m glad to see the Washington Nationals give prospect Chris Marrero a taste of the big leagues because he’s earned it. Marrero was the Nationals first round pick in the 2006 MLB Draft and was picked five spots behind pitcher Tim Lincecum.
Marrero’s route to the show has been a little bumpy and taken a little longer than or [...]
A Great Night For D.C. Sports Fans
It’s been a great night for D.C. area sports fans to enjoy! We’ve hit a rare sports trifecta of sorts, our luck may finally be changing.
Washington Redskins beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 16-7 in their preseason opener at Fedex Field.
Washington Nationals beat the Philadelphia Phillies 4-2 on the road in Philly.
Stephen Strasburg [...]
Frustrated Bryce Harper Gets Ejected ...
Bryce Harper has been having a tough time adjusting since his promotion to Double-A and I think last night’s incident is a result of that. Harper tore up Class-A while playing for the Hagerstown Suns with a .318 average and 14 home runs in 72 games.
He hasn’t had that same type of success playing for the Harrisburg Senators, yet. [...]
Stephen Strasburg Will Pitch Friday A...
I’m glad to see that everything is fine with Stephen Strasburg following his first start and then his throwing session afterward. I’m happy with how the Washington Nationals are bringing him back from his Tommy John surgery and look forward to seeing him pitch for the Potomac Nationals on Friday.

Pudge May Catch Strasburg’s Sta...
I’m glad to see that Pudge has recovered and will be rejoining the Washington Nationals soon. I’m happier to hear he may be Stephen Strasburg’s catcher in the pitcher’s first game in almost a year.
If all goes well with both players we may get to see this same pair hookup at Nationals Park in a similar role.

Stephen Strasburg To Pitch Sunday In ...
Stephen Strasburg will pitch Sunday in Hagerstown and throw between 35-40 pitches according to Washington Nationals GM Mike Rizzo.
Rizzo said the plan is to follow the script that was used with Jordan Zimmermann last season. If all goes well the team would like to see Strasburg pitch somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 innings before the end [...]
