The Washington Redskins were the kings of the NFL hill at one time. The team wasn’t always a mediocre club embroiled in turmoil and off the field issues, we were winners! This is a video I came across on YouTube that shows some great highlights from the first half of the 1983 NFC Championship against the Dallas Cowboys. This was really [...]

The Clinton Portis Legacy Debate Has ...
The hot topic among all of us Washington Redskins fans is the legacy of Clinton Portis, he has many people on both sides of the fence. He put up some very impressive numbers and leaves as the #2 career rusher in franchise history behind John Riggins. I think he has to go down as one of the best players in franchise history. He always played h [...]
Is Riggo’s Redskins Rushing Rec...
Is John Riggins Washington Redskins franchise rushing record safe? A year and a half ago I would’ve said no. Now after seeing RB Clinton Portis get injured again and factoring in all the intangibles I think the record is safe. The record is 7,472 by Riggins and Portis is sitting on 6,792 which is just 680 yards away, but I’m afrai [...]
Texans Vs Redskins: A Viewers’ Guide ...
If you like drama, if you like action, if you like suspense, if you like a good plot with a couple of intriguing sub-plots, you’re gonna love today’s Texans-Redskins’ game. This match-up could very well end up being what the Cowboys’ game last week wasn’t – a thriller in which both teams play to their stre [...]
More Texan’s Q & A
Anthony North, the lead writer over at Toro Times, a Texan’s blog, offered some of his insight to Sunday’s match-up.
1. Who has the bigger advantage? Kyle Shanahan on the Texans coaching staff or the Texan’s coaching staff on Shanahan?
1. It’s really hard to say. From a Redskins perspective, you have an offensive coo [...]
Preview: Texans @ Redskins (via Mike ...
This week the Redskins had a huge win over the Cowboys. However, the Texans had a bigger win versus the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday. The Texans appear to be on a roll, and now looks like a good time for them to begin making a move in the AFC South.
To offer perspective, I had Mike Kerns offer some insight as the Texans are the team he c [...]
Ending to Cowboys Redskins
One of the more unique endings to a football game came last Sunday as the Redskins defeated the Cowboys. Here is a video I took from the bleeders. Notice the Cowboys in euphoric esctacy and then they realize the world is round and fall back to earth.
Once again, pardon me in fanboy mode.

The Cowboys’ Offense Targeted DeAngel...
The Washington Post published an article this week about how far DeAngelo Hall has come. He’s clearly come a long way, both on the field and off it. I admire him for that more than I do his talent. Apparently, he has one or two admirers in Big D, as well.
Bob Sturm, a Contributor to the Dallas Morning News, wrote a piece in which [...]
To the media, Portis is the gift that...
This morning Clinton Portis was a guest on the Mike Wise Show with Holden Kushner. Towards the end of the interview, Kushner asked Portis what he thought of the Inez Sainz situation with the New York Jets.
I was listening to this live, and only found him “honest” with his answer. For those who did not hear he said:
“You know man, I th [...]
Washington Post links to munch on to ...
Michael Wilbon writes: “It’s exactly the kind of game the Washington Redskins have been mostly unable to win over the past dozen years. It was a fitting beginning for the Redskins, given the drama of the last few months. Albert Haynesworth went on and off the field without an oxygen tank and apparently without a sideline blowup wi [...]
For the Cowboys and Their Fans, It’s ...
About now, the Cowboys should be arriving at DFW or Love Field. No doubt this very talented team is ticked off at itself. No doubt Jerry Jones has had words with Alex Barron. But let’s be fair. About 75% of the teams in the NFL start off rough during the first three weeks of the season. The Cowboys don’t usually do so, but th [...]
Cowboys – Redskins: Early in the 4th ...
Does either team really want to win this game? The Redskins had a gift-wrapped chance to go up 17 to 0. Did they do that? Nope. They didn’t even go up 13 to 0. Josh Bidwell is having a bad game punting, and may have been the culprit on the botched field goal. I’m not sure though – the snap was a bit high.
The Redskins [...]
Dallas at Washington Preview, via Jim...
The Dallas Cowboys will renew acquaintances with an old friend in a new location.
The Cowboys open the 2010 season in pursuit of the Super Bowl at Texas Stadium in February by traveling to Washington to play the Redskins, new quarterback Donovan McNabb and two-time Super Bowl-winning coach Mike Shanahan.
Prognosticators are all over the [...]
