More Texan’s Q & A
Anthony North, the lead writer over at Toro Times, a Texan’s blog, offered some of his insight to Sunday’s match-up.
1. Who has the bigger advantage? Kyle Shanahan on the Texans coaching staff or the Texan’s coaching staff on Shanahan?
1. It’s really hard to say. From a Redskins perspective, you have an offensive coo [...]
Preview: Texans @ Redskins (via Mike ...
This week the Redskins had a huge win over the Cowboys. However, the Texans had a bigger win versus the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday. The Texans appear to be on a roll, and now looks like a good time for them to begin making a move in the AFC South.
To offer perspective, I had Mike Kerns offer some insight as the Texans are the team he c [...]
Ending to Cowboys Redskins
One of the more unique endings to a football game came last Sunday as the Redskins defeated the Cowboys. Here is a video I took from the bleeders. Notice the Cowboys in euphoric esctacy and then they realize the world is round and fall back to earth.
Once again, pardon me in fanboy mode.

This morning Clinton Portis was a guest on the Mike Wise Show with Holden Kushner. Towards the end of the interview, Kushner asked Portis what he thought of the Inez Sainz situation with the New York Jets.
I was listening to this live, and only found him “honest” with his answer. For those who did not hear he said:
“You know man, I th [...]

Michael Wilbon writes: “It’s exactly the kind of game the Washington Redskins have been mostly unable to win over the past dozen years. It was a fitting beginning for the Redskins, given the drama of the last few months. Albert Haynesworth went on and off the field without an oxygen tank and apparently without a sideline blowup wi [...]

The Dallas Cowboys will renew acquaintances with an old friend in a new location.
The Cowboys open the 2010 season in pursuit of the Super Bowl at Texas Stadium in February by traveling to Washington to play the Redskins, new quarterback Donovan McNabb and two-time Super Bowl-winning coach Mike Shanahan.
Prognosticators are all over the [...]

Kyle Shanahan is ayoung coach with a lot of promise. In college he played wide receiver, but everyone knew he had the brains to be a coach one day.
In January when Mike Shanahan was named coach of the Redskins, Kyle was determined to join his father here in D.C. Coming from Houston, joining his dad was the only move he would make.

Two Dallas lineman out for Sunday’s s...
If ever there was a boost the Redskins could get from the Cowboys, it would be this.
The Redskins defense is hungry to show its new aggressive, ball-hunting style. It appears the group will be drawing the Dallas Cowboys on a good week. At least a couple of starting offensive linemen are not expected to play.
Right tackle Marc Colombo will [...]
Redskins prepare for their biggest te...
The Washington Redskins are less than three days away from commencing their 2010-2011 season with a home date with the Dallas Cowboys. In the pre-season the Redskins went 2-2. They experienced highs and lows. They put on an offensive and defensive versus the Buffalo Bills and likewise were shot back down to Earth by the Baltimore Ravens. [...]
Update #2
Robert Henson showing some ability as an ILB with a nice sack on Matt Leinart.
Brandon Banks was back for the punt and muffed another one. This completely negates his nice return earlier.

Updates: Skins @ the Cards
Brandon Banks made a good case for himself on that kick-off return. He took the ball back 40 yards and broke some tackles with with nifty directional changes. He is going to need a strong effort tonight.
Willie Parker showed nice burst with a 13-yard run. Parker looks like a man on a mission. He needs a good showing if he is to merit a sp [...]
Skins at Cards
It looks like Haynesworth is starting tonight at RDE. He is the only player of note playing with the back-ups as none of the starters on defense are on the field.
The Cardinals drove inside the 30 but the back-up defensive unit held them to 3.

WRs on the bubble
For players on the bubble tonight may be their last chance to make and impression. Tuesday four players were let go from the team in order to get from 80 players to 75, WR Malcolm Kelly was put on IR. Saturday afternoon will play host a much more substantial cut as the Redskins wil trim their roster by 22 to get to 53 players.
The question [...]
