If the Los Angeles Lakers are going to secure a Western Conference playoff berth it must be done without the face of the franchise on the court leading the way. Kobe Bryant suffered a torn Achilles tendon in Friday night’s 118-116 win over the Golden State Warriors.
Bryant could miss up to a year and at 34 years old it will be a tough road back for the future hall of famer. He’s been playing great basketball and the Lakers have made a huge push for a Western Conference playoff berth since the All-Star break. Now they must go on without him.
