Nationals Starting A Huge Series At Home Against The N.L. East Rival Phillies

Posted on by

The Washington Nationals are starting a very important three game series this weekend at Nationals Park against the Philadelphia Phillies. The Nats went 10-8 against their N.L. East rivals during the 2011 season, but still finished 21.5 games behind them in the division.

The Nats are leading the division by a 1.5 games over the Atlanta Braves and 3.5 games over the Phillies. The Nats have a great opportunity to send a big time message this weekend to the rest of the league by taking care of business.

The Phillies have been the team to beat in the N.L. East for the last several years and the Nats are the up and coming team looking to knock them off. Can they do it?
