Gilbert’s Going To Memphis

According to the Memphis Commercial Appeal the Memphis Grizzlies are set to sign former Washington Wizard Gilbert Arenas to a contract for the rest of the season. The Grizzlies worked Arenas out on Monday afternoon and were happy enough with what they saw to send him for a physical.

The Grizzlies are 25-18 and currently the #5 seed in the Western Conference with 23 games left in the regular season. I think it’s a smart move that may pay huge dividends for them. With 23 games before the NBA Playoffs I think it gives Arenas and his new Grizzlies teammates plenty of time to start developing the on court chemistry that’s needed to advance in the postseason.

Below is a video of Arenas as a Wizard in better times.
