The whacking of Flip Saunders won’t solve everything that’s wrong with the Washington Wizards, but I’m hoping it’s a starting point. I really like owner Ted Leonsis and will not bash him because I know the mess he took over when his ownership tenure began.
The move to fire Flip Saunders had to happen! The lack of effort in games is embarrassing! I’m not putting all the blame on Saunders, but we need to start somewhere. There’s a lack of talent mixed with a young roster that’s also contributing to the team’s problems.
I think we need to exercise the Amnesty Clause on Rashard Lewis’ contract as soon as we can and that will wipeout the Gilbert Arenas contract off the salary cap! I know there’s a reason why they didn’t do that just yet, but it has to happen as soon as it will help.
John Wall needs another high character veteran on the roster to help him as he matures into an NBA player because he’s clearly been affected by all of this. I have more to say, but I’ll have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome by the time I finish typing!
