I’m a die-hard football fan, but I don’t mean that literally. It sucks to lose, it sucks even more when it’s your favorite team that’s losing, and even more when it’s in the playoffs, but come on people get a grip! Sending death threats to someone for making a mistake during a game is completely ignorant, it’s a game. It’s ok to call out a player or coach after a game because that’s part of being a sports fan, but do it with some class!
The San Fransisco 49ers didn’t lose to the New York Giants because of Kyle Williams. Yes he made some mistakes on special teams, but he wasn’t the only 49ers player who made mistakes in yesterday’s game. You win as a team and you lose as a team or at least that’s how I was taught.
What’s even more troubling is that people were including his family in their social media attack on Williams, come on now! That’s downright ignorant and not cool at all. Remember it’s only a game and people make mistakes, we’re all human.
