I don’t have an issue with the players the Washington Redskins decided to release, but I’m surprised that Evan Royster was among the cuts. I hope they sign him back to the practice squad.
Ten rookies made the roster and twenty-five players with three years or less of NFL experience also made it. Coach Mike Shanahan has done a good job of reshaping the roster, but more still needs to be done. I know Rome wasn’t built in a day.
I’d like to see them sign S Brandon Meriweather who was a surprise cut by the New England Patriots. He’s made the last two pro bowls and was a first round pick in the 2007 NFL Draft.
