After months of waiting we will finally get our chance to see pitcher Stephen Strasburg make his debut for the Washington Nationals. We won’t get to see him for long against the Detroit Tigers in his 1st spring training outing, somewhere in the 3o-40 pitch range which is about 1-2 innings of work. All the fans I have spoken with are really looking forward to seeing this kid pitch. Fans of the Washington Nationals have been hearing this kids name for well over a year as it became apparent the club had a legitimate chance of landing him in the MLB Draft. So far it sounds very encouraging as the reports of how good the kid looks and how hard he throws trickle out of spring training, catcher Ivan Rodriguez has even compared him to Nolan Ryan, but now we will get to see for ourselves and that has people excited!
