Written by The Falls Church Misfits, a 10 year old girls select team, won the Division 1 regular season championship in the competitive Fairfax County Youth Basketball League, which is comprised of teams from Arlington, Loudon, and Fairfax Counties. The Falls Church also won the tournament championship over Chantilly 25-23 in an exciting game that came down to the very end. The two teams split in the regular season. Falls Church pulled out the victory in the championship game with excellent defense from the entire team. Vanessa Barlow was the MVP of the game with a team leading 11 points and Kenya Bliss added 8 points. Tia Anderson provided solid rebounding. The three girls were selected all league and each played a huge part of the championship game victory.
