The New Orleans Saints are the Super Bowl Champions! These guys earned it, they beat some very good teams along the way this post season. Their win last night over Indianapolis Colts was very impressive by overcoming an early 10-0 deficit in the 1st quarter. QB Drew Brees was named the MVP and he had a monster game 32 for 39 with 288 yds, 2 TD 0 INT’s. He showed a lot of poise in his 1st Super Bowl appearance and went toe to toe with Indy’s gunslinger Peyton Manning who had a big passing night of his own with over 300 yards passing. The tough part for Manning was the pick 6 he threw while driving the Colts to tie the game at 24. It looked as if he was going to pull it off until Tracy Porter jumped a route and took it 74 yards to paydirt and the Super Bowl Championship! I thought the Colts were going to win this game and early on it did, but it wasn’t today. Head coach Sean Payton coached a great game and coached it with confidence and not to lose like so many coaches do when they play in the Super Bowl for the 1st time and that sends a message to his players and they tend to fall right into line!
