I have had this idea forever, a fan scouting competition. I based this on the NFL, but it could be done in any sport. All football fans think we can scout talent better than the next guy. How many times have you debated someone on players or thought you could do a better job drafting players than your favorite teams GM? Probably to many to count I’m sure! Well I will quickly layout my concept.
- Average Joes scouting players and grading them like pro scouts
- Draft guru panel of Mel Kiper Jr, Todd McShay, Mike Mayock have them scout the same players and grade them as well
- Add the gurus scores together to get an average grade on the players
- whichever fan is the closest wins or advances to the next round
- You can do current players or historical ones
