Dan Gets His Man, Mike Shanahan Is New Redskins Coach

Mike Shanahan will be announced today as the new head coach of the Washington Redskins. There is a press conference scheduled for 2pm today. I’m glad that everything is over now. I was so sick and tired of all the speculation about Jim Zorn’s job and who the next coach would be. It was starting to remind me of our yearly Brett Favre watch of will he or won’t he play. I know I’m not the only one who is sick of all that crap. I will give Dan Snyder credit on one thing, he doesn’t waste time when he wants a player or coach. He’s not afraid to spend money and tries to bring a winner to Redskins Nation. Dan was obviously successful in business or he wouldn’t own the Redskins, but being good at one doesn’t mean you will be good at both. The set up we now have in place looks good so far and I will sit back and see what happens. I have learned the hard way that offseason moves don’t always translate into victories, I don’t care how good they look on paper.
