The Redskins did it to me again! I know that the team has a lot of issues and will not be in the playoffs. These last 3 weeks have been nothing more than a big tease to all of us who root for this team. It’s nice to see the team continue to fight and not just roll over, but it does not change the fact that they are 3-9 and there will no doubt be many changes coming in about 5 weeks, as soon as the season ends. The effort the past few weeks has been great, but where was that during the first 5 weeks of the season, we let more than one game slip away during that period when the team rolled over and played dead. The losses to Detroit and Kansas City were the worst. I’m mad at myself today because I let myself believe that these guys could do it and I know that they always seem to choke. The Redskins are creative when it comes to choking and letting wins somehow slip away from them! How else would you explain the interception by Redskins safety Kareem Moore near the end of the first half that ended up a TD for the Saints? That is no type-o! What about the Saints punt that was shanked and went 20 yards and hit a Redskins player in the back and the Saints get the ball back? What about our kicker Shaun Suisham missing a FG that was really no longer than an extra point? That wasn’t the first time that he choked under pressure this year! Well the best thing I can say about this mess is that we only have 4 more games to go in this nightmare of a season.
