Fired Coach Walking
The Jim Zorn era is coming to a close in Washington D.C. in a little over a week. When I first heard the news of him getting promoted from offensive coordinator to head coach without ever calling a play for the Washington Redskins I was against it. After thinking about it, I decided to give him a chance because everybody has to start somewhere. I admit that during the teams 6-2 start last year I jumped on the Z-Mans bandwagon and thought we had found a diamond in the rough. It's been downhill ever since and will finally end after the game at San Diego next Sunday. I don't blame Jim Zorn for all of the problems with the team and I understand why he jumped at the chance to be a head coach. He really had no chance to succeed here from the get go and that was because of the front office tag team of Batman and Robin who did not let him pick his own coaching staff. I have been more than impressed with his character during this season of chaos when the front office tried to humiliate him so many times. I'm not sure that I could do the same in his situation. The game against Dallas tomorrow night will be the final home game this season for the Redskins. The hiring of Bruce Allen was the start of a major roster overhaul that is coming this off season.
